This course will explore the differences between modular blockchains and monolithic blockchains. Students will learn about the advantages and disadvantages of both types of blockchains and how they are used in different contexts. Students will gain an understanding of how modular blockchains can be used to create secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. Topics such as distributed ledger technology, consensus algorithms, smart contracts, and decentralized applications will also be discussed. By the end of the course, students will be able to compare and contrast the two types of blockchains in order to make informed decisions when designing and implementing blockchain solutions.
